Strange Archaeology

I was doing some DIY the other day which included steaming off the wallpaper in one of our rooms. Underneath the old wallpaper was a message penned onto the plaster. It basically says: "This room was hard to get the bloody paper off S. Grace 30.7.85", which means it has been hiding under the old wallpaper for 23 years.

Does anyone know of an S. Grace who lived in the Horsham area 23 years ago? S. Grace will be delighted to know that his or her wallpaper was pretty easy to remove with a steamer.

I make a point now of leaving messages on the walls in my house as I am redecorating. I think it is cool to think someone might uncover it in another 23 years time and post it on the internet.
