Music is fine medium in which to dabble. It can be fabulous when shared although it is a highly personal experience whether listening, writing or playing. I have played piano and keyboards for many years. Initially, on my own, then in a band. I have enjoyed renditions of other people's hits as well as my own attempts at artistic creation. There is no better feeling (well, some come close) than that of catching the interest of an audience and winning their adulation or being praised in the crowd after a gig.

Due to the arrival of children and extra responsibility I am no longer gigging as much as I used to. In spare moments I am working on various tunes in the privacy of my own personal studio at the end of the garden.

I have spent the last 10 years working as a professional web developer for many weird and interesting people. Most of my customers seem to stem from the music industry. I spent 7 years full-time as a Senior Web Developer/Analyst for a major UK CD/DVD manufacturer. Some of the more interesting projects have been for major entertainment industry players such as Universal, Fox and Sony BMG.

My main strengths include database design and content management systems using PHP. My main aim with websites is to make them intuitive and easy to use, whilst getting them to fulfil a useful purpose. There are too many sites on the web, even some belonging to major names, where vizitors are left aimlessly clicking for information.

Simplicity is a fine keyword when developing a website. You can have the best artwork and fantastic videos or animations but if your client cannot find the information they need, they will simply look elsewhere.
